Pegasus Society Parent Meet-Up | Cleo County, July 2025
As digital screens continue to take center stage in our children's daily lives—from learning to leisure—many parents are quietly asking the same question: Is this really the kind of childhood we want for our kids?On a meaningful afternoon at Cleo County, Pegasus Society brought parents together under one roof to reflect, learn, and unite for a shared goal: creating a Screen-Free Childhood.
This wasn’t just another event. It was the beginning of a movement in yet another community—a movement of awareness, action, and collective care. With warmth and wisdom, Child Psychologist Srishti Jain led the conversation, shedding light on how screen overuse is shaping children’s focus, emotional development, creativity, and connection with the world around them.
She emphasized that while technology isn’t the enemy, uncontrolled screen time can quietly shape habits that take away from real-life growth. But most importantly, she focused on solutions.
Key Highlights:
- Introduction of Screen-Free Clubs: parent-led groups within societies that support fun, offline activities for children and families
- Parents sharing real, heartfelt struggles—and realizing they're not alone
- Interactive moments, including a playful balloon activity that sparked laughter and teamwork
- Insights on screen-time management without blame or guilt
- Encouragement to lead by example and reclaim everyday moments with children
Moments That Mattered:
- Parents enthusiastically asking questions and engaging in the dialogue
- Smiles of pride as children received small rewards for screen-free goals
- Group photo that captured not just faces, but a growing sense of belonging
- A sense of relief among parents—finally feeling seen, supported, and inspired
Because childhood deserves wonder, not WiFi—and parenting is always stronger with a village.
